Pior do que caricaturas. Até agora, só o Foreign Office reage

Naturalmente, o Foreign Office. Minister Dr Kim Howells today (22/03) expressed his concern over the case of Abdul Rahman, a Christian convert in Afghanistan who has been charged and is facing trial for rejecting Islam. “I am deeply troubled by the reports of this case. Individuals should be able to practice their faith or beliefs free from persecution. We take every opportunity to urge states to implement laws and practices which foster tolerance and mutual respect.”

Abdul Rahman, an Afghan, converted to Christianity 14-16 years ago when working for a Christian aid group helping refugees in Pakistan. He has been charged, and is facing trial in Kabul, with rejecting Islam. He could face the death penalty under Sharia law.
