Selecção de diplomatas. Se as Necessidades aprendessem...

Novas oportunidades. O Departamento de Estado norte-americano estreia novo procedimento para selecção de diplomatas! A ver se outros aprendem.
The Department of State is inaugurating an improved process for selecting Foreign Service Officers. Registration for the new selection process begins today, July 16, and the new test will be given for the first time in September 2007.

The new process takes two familiar elements of proven effectiveness - a written test and a day-long oral assessment - and combines them with review of extensive information about a candidate's work history, education, and capabilities. This new "Total Candidate" approach will enable us to identify candidates with the knowledge, skills and abilities vital to success in Foreign Service work. The new process combines best practices from the private sector and our own experience.

Registration for the new selection process will open on July 16. The first offering of FSO Test (domestic only) will be September 8 - 15. The second offering (both domestic and overseas) will be December 1 - 8. The third and fourth offerings (both domestic and overseas) will be in March and June, 2008.

Detailed information about the new process as well as registration information and forms can be found at the U.S. Department of State's employment website, careers.state.gov.
