O Foreign Office, contrariamente ao que é hábito em Portugal, não entrou de nojo nem amuou. Com naturalidade e polidez, despachou para todos os endereços de correio electrónico (sem purgas...) a seguinte mensagem:

This email is to advise you that an article matching one of your interests has been published: David Cameron appointed Prime Minister.

Mr Cameron was invited to form a Government by the Queen tonight.
His appointment comes after the General Election on May 6th.
