Nasrallah amnistiado. As cartas da Amnistia/Portugal

O busílis. A Amnistia Internacional/Portugal, numa campanha sobre a situação do Líbano, trata o Governo de Beirute praticamente nos mesmos termos destinados ao Hezbollah, ou como homólogo da organização de Nasrallah... Nas cartas que a AI convida a subscrever , nem sequer há uma referência ao reclamado desarmamento das milícias libanesas e não libanesas, que é o busílis do primeiro-ministro Fouad Siniora, a preocupação da ONU e o que está na raiz própria do conflito como pretexto explorado. Grande amnistia.

Excellency,

Amnesty International calls on the authorities to put an immediate end to the targeting of Israeli civilians, notably by immediately ceasing the launch of rockets into Israeli town and villages, and not initiating armed attacks from residential civilian areas especially civilian areas.

AI urges also to not harm the two Israeli soldiers whom you are holding and to treat them humanely at all times, granting them immediate access to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Amnesty International (AI) appeals to the Lebanese authorities to take measures to ensure that Hizbullah ends its targeting immediately of Israeli civilians, notably its firing of Katyusha rockets and other projectiles into Israeli towns and villages. You should also and to ensure that Hizbullah fighters do not initiate armed attacks from residential civilian areas and avoid placing military premises within civilian areas.

AI urgently calls the Lebanese parties to take concrete steps to ensure that Hizbullah treats the two captured Israeli soldiers humanely and allow them immediate access to the International Committee of the Red Cross ( ICRC).

Excellency,

Amnesty International (AI) wishes to express its deep concern about the killings of over 400 civilians by Israel bombardments and other attacks in Southern Lebanon and in and around Beirut.

AI urges you to put an immediate end to deliberate attacks on civilian property and infrastructure in Lebanon, which constitute collective punishment, thus in contravention to the Geneva Conventions.

AI urges also you to end the use of excessive and disproportionate force, and to respect the principle of proportionality when targeting any military objective or civilian objective that may be used for military purposes.

Finally AI reminds Israel of its international obligation to protect civilians and urges you to refrain from targeting civilians.
